💡 Tip: Write rules in positive ("I raise my hand") not negative ("Don't shout")

Evidence: Positively stated, visually displayed classroom rules are a Tier 1 PBIS strategy that reduces disruptive behaviour by up to 30% (Simonsen et al., 2008). Rules should be limited to 3-5, stated positively ("walk" not "don't run"), and displayed with visual supports for all learners (Johnson et al., 2006).
